Another day goes by and another success story emerges.
It’s always exciting to hear about people overcoming obstacles and coming out victorious in the game of life. And who doesn’t love a good underdog story?
Someone who has their back against the wall, they’ve got almost nothing left and it seems as though they’ve hit rock bottom, only to take charge and defeat the demons that were inside of them.
Well, did you know that could be you? Yes, you!
You too can become a success story and be like the millions of others who have overcome adversity. It’s not easy, but it is certainly possible and worth it. You just have to believe.
Yes, that is the first step. It all starts with a change in your mindset.
It sounds too good to be true. The cliché of “just believe” sometimes is just said flippantly, but it’s completely true. I mean, who wouldn’t want a happier life?
It reminds me of an oldie but goodie children’s book I read to my son titled ‘The Little Engine That Could’. It all started with this tiny engine’s mindset of believing she was able to pull another larger locomotive and she was able to get them all over the hill. She was able to do it because she believed it was possible, even though it may not look like it at first glance. And this is exactly how numerous others have been able to accomplish their goals, too.
The first step is always the hardest, but if you want to start living a more positive lifestyle and being happier, you must change your mindset. That is the agonizing first step.
You need to want to change your way of thinking. It’s the only way to do it. Only thinking positive thoughts and weening off of the negative ones. You can do it. It can be done.
The negative mindset seems to be everywhere today. It’s as if it’s the default way of thinking with how bad society is getting. And you can’t blame people for thinking this way.
With so many in poverty, mass shootings, and the many other depressing images we put into our minds, it’s no wonder that people only see the negativity in the world. There’s a reason why the majority of people don’t watch the news anymore. They’ll start with a “good evening” and then explain why it wasn’t. You’ve got to remove that waste from your mind.
Limit your social media and news intake.
Remove “friends” that may litter your feed. Leave groups and unlike pages that would bring up negative vibes. Start joining groups that will help you in life or watch some success stories.
Remember, nothing changes overnight. I’m not saying to make a complete 180º, it just doesn’t happen like that. This is a process, but like anything, the more you practice, the easier it will become. It will take time; you just have to start taking those first baby steps. This is just to help you get started.
Like I said before, the first step is always the hardest, but we can help.
If you don’t think you can do it, sorry, but you’re wrong. Anyone and everyone can do it. Don’t be fooled by this emerging trend of victimhood that will soon dissipate. You have control over your own life and if you want to live a more positive one, this is one of the many ways to do it.
No one owes you anything but yourself. And yes, you can have a happier life, starting today.
We need positivity probably now more than ever. Help influence our world for the better.
Make your life today a more positive one and help others do the same!
